Full Job Description Pay:
$26-$30/hour depending on experience. Job Summary We are seeking motivated and skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team in both part-time and full-time capacities. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy equipment, and both diesel and fuel vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that vehicles operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operations across various cities. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced mechanics to contribute their skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel and standard fuel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and fluid/fuel checks to keep equipment in optimal condition. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades while ensuring precision and safety protocols are followed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance to clients or team members. Requirements CDL (Commercial Drivers License) School Bus Endorsement (not requried but a plus!) Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with school bus experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation including school buses (all sizes), Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, brake repair, wheel alignment, hydraulics, shocks & struts, and tire service. Physical ability to lift heavy components regularly and perform manual labor involving heavy lifting tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail in maintenance procedures.
Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
