The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and construction equipment. Day-to-day tasks include conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and working with heavy equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards. This is an on-site position that requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional. Qualifications Prior experience as a mechanic, diesel technician, fleet mechanic, equipment technician, or similar role Experience working on diesel and gasoline engines Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, scan tools, and other diagnostic equipment Ability to read and follow service manuals, repair procedures, and manufacturer specifications Familiarity with DOT inspections and safety requirements is preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage repair priorities efficiently Clear communication skills and a team-oriented approach Willingness to support field operations by helping keep vehicles and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for use Employment Details This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including a half-hour lunch. Overtime (extended day and/or weekends) may be required based on operational needs. Compensation is hourly-based and will be determined by professional experience, certifications, and technical educational levels . Health and retirement benefits are available in accordance with company policy.
Pay:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
