RC Disposal About Us RC Disposal is a locally owned waste management company specializing in roll-off dumpster rentals and dependable service for residential and commercial projects throughout the Chicagoland area. We pride ourselves on professionalism, environmental responsibility, and having an experienced, reliable team. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair our semi trucks, roll-off container trucks, and related equipment . The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, safety-focused, and capable of managing parts inventory and shop operations. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on semi truck engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and suspensions. Service and repair roll-off container trucks and accessories , including hydraulics and lifting mechanisms. Use welding and fabrication skills to repair frames, mounts, brackets, and other equipment as needed. Maintain a clean, organized shop area and assist with parts inventory management. Order and track parts; ensure adequate stock of common components. Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections to keep equipment safe and operational. Record all work completed, parts used, and order receipts. Qualifications 5+ years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and waste hauling equipment or similar. Strong experience in diesel mechanics and semi truck systems. Welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) highly preferred. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment independently . Solid organizational skills and experience managing parts and inventory. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship . Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
