Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, farm machinery, and industrial vehicles. In this energetic role, you will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure all equipment operates at peak performance. Your expertise will keep our fleet safe, reliable, and ready to meet the demands of diverse industries. Duties Conduct thorough diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure optimal operation. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques. Replace or repair shocks & struts, tires, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and alignment components to maintain safety standards. Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades; utilize heavy lifting techniques safely. Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with the work performed. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Dealership experience preferred but not required; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is a plus. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for complex machinery systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and the use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repair, wheel alignment, suspension work, and air brake system servicing. Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting electrical systems in vehicles and equipment. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working in various environmental conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with strong attention to detail; committed to safety standards at all times.
