Semi Truck and Semi Trailer Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repairs, with a focus on trailers and related equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is capable of working independently and as part of a team to ensure the safety and functionality of our fleet. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including brakes, lights, and suspension systems. Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems. Weld and solder components as needed to ensure structural integrity. Align trailer axles and wheels to manufacturer specifications. Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely during repairs and maintenance tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Requirements Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with trailers or heavy-duty vehicles. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and industrial equipment. Proficiency in welding, soldering, aligning, and other mechanical repair techniques. Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to mechanics are a plus.
