Full-time Job Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic Technician will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs on heavy-duty diesel trucks. The technician is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards while following DOT regulations and company policies.

Essential Duties:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, including fuel systems, transmissions, and cooling systems. Perform preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks. Conduct safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company policies, and applicable regulations. Repair, replace, or weld defective parts, components, or systems. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify engine issues. Test repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. Interpret and execute work orders with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or technician. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software for diesel engines. Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems, including brakes, electrical, and hydraulics. Ability to operate welding equipment and cutting torches. Punctual and reliable work attendance. Strong attention to quality and adherence to safety standards. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
