Job Description
at Dot Foods, Inc. in Mount Sterling, Illinois, United States Job Description A Garage Technician / Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and other routine job functions assigned as needed to service the company fleet of truck and trailer equipment.
Key duties may include:
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and overhaul brake, HVAC, and major drive line component systems Diagnostics and repair of electrical, lighting, and onboard vehicle computer systems Perform preventative maintenance procedures utilized to maintain the company fleet of diesel truck assets per established company procedures Provide breakdown support to drivers and other team members as assigned Accurately documents all work performed Maintain the shop area in a clean, safe and professional manner Applies lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste in all areas of the positionYOU MUST HAVE
High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience Valid driver license Mechanical background Ability to lift up to 75 poundsYOU MAY ALSO HAVE
Previous mechanic experience or technical school training Valid Class A CDL Desire to be a strong team player working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environmentROLE SPECIFICS
Schedule:
Thursday, Wed-Sat 12:30pm to 11:00pm or Wed-Sat 8:00pm to 6:30am Work both inside and outside in all weather conditions Extensive standing and/or walking on concrete surfacesWHO WE ARE
