/ We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our shop team. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong background in Diesel Truck and Trailer maintenance and repair, primarily with diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing issues, Use of scanner/laptop and multi-meter for performing repairs and ensuring that all diesel vehicles operate efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other mechanic/technicians to maintain our fleet. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and related systems. Perform routine maintenance on diesel vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Repair or replace faulty components such as shocks, struts, and electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to conduct repairs effectively. Conduct tire service including mounting, balancing, and alignment as needed. Work on farm machinery and other heavy equipment when required. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. Skills Proficiency in welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of HVAC systems related to diesel vehicles is a must. Experience working at a dealership or similar environment is advantageous. Familiarity with hand tools and diagnostic equipment used in vehicle maintenance. Ability to perform tire service efficiently and safely. Experience with farm machinery repair is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills as a service technician to address complex mechanical issues. Excellent understanding of electrical systems in diesel engines.
