Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle fleets. Your expertise will ensure that equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our operations and customer needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, diesel hammers and more. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering top-quality service through mechanical excellence and customer support. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic assessments using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics. Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulics. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Service heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and rental equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform wiring repairs or replacements with precision. Maintain detailed service records and follow safety protocols during all repair activities while providing excellent customer service. Facilitate in the assembly of new pile driving equipment. Skills Company sponsored tool purchase Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex equipment issues. Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering irons and other maintenance tools. Ability to travel at times. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication for customer interactions. Physical ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs or maintenance tasks. $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
