Trailer Mechanic-Semi Truck Trailers

Job Description:

Monday - Friday (PM Shift) Perform safety inspections on equipment - Semi Truck Trailers Prepare Documents required by FMCSA, the Company, Federal, State, or Local regulatory agencies Responsible for the repairs and required Preventive Maintenance (PM) of Commercial Vehicle Trailers Inspect, troubleshoot, & diagnose maintenance repairs Interpret work orders Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer specs and legislated regulations

REQUIRED SKILLS

also include Trailer Door Repairs, Suspensions, Floors, Electrical, Brakes, and Air Systems Prompt and regular attendance is required

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 1-year experience and/or completion of trade school, or combination of both Must have your own tools (We do offer a tool allowance!) Be able to use hand tools & test equipment Know general repairs & Preventative Maintenance (PM) Criteria Keep up with changing technology & updates Mechanical abilities & precise attention to details Strong work ethic, dependable, problem solving skills, and able to work as a team Must be able to lift 70 lbs or more, if required by essential functions of the job High concentration level & ability to meet deadlines Ability to interpret and comply with information, documents, safety rules, operations/procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, etc.

Wage Range:

21.00 - 30.00 per hour
