Job Description

Overview Pay will be based off training, experience, and knowledge. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software diagnostics and equipment repair, with experience in servicing diesel engines. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of primarily Peterbilt tractors and trailers, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Conduct software diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Fabricate and assemble parts as needed for various repairs. Utilize hydraulic systems knowledge to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components. Operate lifts and other heavy machinery safely during repair processes. Collaborate with mechanics, dispatchers, and driver to ensure timely completion of repairs. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in a dealership or service environment. Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, systems, and repair techniques. Familiarity with HVAC systems relevant to diesel engines is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Relevant certifications or training in diesel mechanics is preferred.
