What you will do Vehicle diagnostics & repair: Troubleshoot and fix steering, electrical, cooling, lubrication, braking, drivetrain, suspension, clutches, transmissions, and oil/temperature/gas regulating components.

Engine expertise:

Adjust, test, and rebuild engines per your qualifications and in compliance with all Federal, State/Provincial, and local requirements.

Validation drives:

Perform test drives during PM inspections and after service to confirm repair quality.

Telematics:

Install, program, replace, and verify devices.

PM and unscheduled work:

Complete preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs for vehicles supported by the facility.

Road support:

Handle road calls and perform on-the-road repairs when assigned.

Documentation:

Log labor, parts, and service details on a work tablet and/or approved forms. Safety & compliance: Keep a clean, safe, and efficient workspace meeting all guidelines and company standards; perform all work within DOT requirements; support assigned shifts and overtime as needed. What you bring 5 years of Diesel and Heavy/Medium-duty fleet experience and at least five years of Auto/Truck or Bus mechanical repairs. Knowledge of DOT compliance for Medium/Heavy Trucks. Comfort with fleet management systems, documentation, and computerized diagnostics. Strong judgment and decision-making; organized work practices and pride in first-pass repair accuracy. Experience planning and scheduling maintenance (daily/weekly/monthly). Personal tool set meeting recommended minimums for Medium/Heavy Duty Diesel Technicians. Flexibility to work varying schedules. Preferred qualifications CDL at hire or obtained within 90 days. ASE credentials in brakes, suspension, engine, electrical, A/C—or Master School Bus/Master Truck Technician.
