Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment. In this energetic role, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service a wide range of industrial and commercial vehicles and machinery. Your skills will keep our fleet running smoothly, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability across diverse operational environments. Whether working on excavators, cranes, farm machinery, or tractor-trailers, you'll thrive in a fast-paced setting that values precision, craftsmanship, and proactive maintenance. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, and fluid checks to maximize equipment lifespan and performance. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using power tools and welding techniques to meet specific operational needs. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, cranes, and other industrial machinery safely and accurately during repair or testing procedures. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and repair logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and facilitate future diagnostics. Assist with assembly or disassembly of large components like transmissions or hydraulic systems during repairs or upgrades. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair within dealership or industrial settings. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Skilled in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and OEM manuals for precise troubleshooting. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and other fabrication tools. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and electronic systems related to vehicle maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs.
