Marine Diesel Mechanic (5-10 Years Experience) Paducah, KY (Home Base) | Field Service | Hourly Non-Exempt NRE is seeking an experienced Marine Diesel Mechanic to perform field diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines supporting river operations. Work directly on towboats, barges, and marine equipment across the regional river system. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair marine diesel engines and components Perform rebuilds, overhauls, and major repairs Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Travel required - on-site to customer's location - inland waters, east, west, and Gulf Coast Requirements 5-10 years of diesel mechanic experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with engine repairs and rebuilds Ability to work independently in the field Required to provide your own hand and air tools Required reliable transportation to customer job sites Preferred Marine or vessel experience (towboats, barges) OEM training (CAT, EMD, GE/Wabtec, AICO) Experience across river systems, ships, towboats or barge operations Experience with electrical systems or generators Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Vacation and Sick Paid Time Off Salaried Exempt (Professional) position Per diem and mileage reimbursement for out-of-town work assignments Paid life insurance
