Senior Marine/Maritime Field Service Diesel Mechanic (20+ Years Experience) Paducah, KY (Home Base) | Field Service | Salaried Exempt NRE is hiring a Senior Marine Diesel Mechanic to lead complex field service work across our marine operations. This role is ideal for a highly experienced mechanic who can diagnose, rebuild, and lead major repairs on marine diesel systems. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair complex diesel engine issues Lead major overhauls and rebuilds Provide technical guidance to other mechanics Work directly with customers in the field Travel required - on-site to customer's location - inland waters, east, west, and Gulf Coast Requirements 20+ years of diesel mechanic experience Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with engine rebuilds and complex repairs Ability to lead projects and mentor technicians Required to provide your own hand and air tools (some specialty tools will be provided) Required reliable transportation to customer job sites Preferred Marine diesel experience strongly preferred OEM certifications (CAT, EMD, GE/Wabtec, AICO) Experience across river systems Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Vacation and Sick Paid Time Off Salaried Exempt (Professional) position Per diem and mileage reimbursement for out-of-town work assignments Paid life insurance
