In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operating smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced mechanics passionate about heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspension components, hydraulics, and HVAC systems on heavy trucks and trailers. Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to ensure fleet safety and compliance with industry standards. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Fabricate parts or modify existing components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inspection reports while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist with tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, soldering tasks, and heavy lifting operations as required. Requirements Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic or heavy truck technician within a dealership or similar environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical diagnostics. Hands-on experience with automotive repair tools such as wrenches, soldering equipment, power tools, and welding apparatus. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate various service vehicles or equipment as needed.
