Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art tools and equipment, contribute to a fast-paced environment, and develop your mechanical skills further. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and other heavy equipment components using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct repairs and maintenance on farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, soldering, cutting tools, and power tools to ensure optimal equipment performance. Replace or repair brakes, air brake systems, tires, alignments, HVAC systems, and electrical components to maintain safety standards. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts for testing or repair purposes while adhering to safety protocols. Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues efficiently and accurately. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure all repairs meet OEM standards and safety regulations. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with heavy equipment and vehicles. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiar with assembly processes. Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy-duty machinery. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, diagnostic software, and service technology platforms. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical ability for heavy lifting, working at heights or in confined spaces as required by the role.
