Diesel Technician The KNeal Group Hyattsville, MD Job Details Full-time $20 - $38 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Automotive repair Brake repair Oil change Equipment repair Maintenance Full Job Description Diesel Technician / Diesel MechanicOverview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel engine diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs for commercial vehicles and equipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of our fleet while supporting efficient day-to-day operations. If you are a motivated technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and problem-solving, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and commercial vehicles Conduct diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and performance issues Repair or replace components including brakes, suspension systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and engine parts Complete tire services including rotations, balancing, inspections, and replacements Perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and general vehicle servicing Maintain accurate repair orders, inspection reports, and service documentation Collaborate with fellow technicians and service personnel to complete repairs efficiently and safely Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer repair standards Stay current with evolving diesel technology and repair techniques through training and development opportunities Qualifications Previous experience as a Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or Automotive Technician preferred Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance Experience with brake systems, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment repair Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment effectively Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment Valid driver's license preferred ASE certifications or diesel mechanic certifications are a plus, but not required Why Join Our Team?
