Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, from construction machinery to industrial vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and apply your mechanical talents in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components of heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and shock & strut replacements to prevent downtime. Fabricate parts and components using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify root causes efficiently. Repair and maintain diverse machinery such as excavators, forklifts, tractors-trailers, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as needed for operational readiness. Ensure all repairs adhere to safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining detailed service records. Skills Proven experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with dealership or industrial repair background. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex systems effectively. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and other fabrication tools. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts safely and efficiently. Experience with automotive diagnostics software and electronic testing devices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions. $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
