Working Shop Forman/Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Working Shop Foreman with heavy equipment experience to lead our maintenance team and ensure the optimal performance of our rental fleet. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily shop operations, coordinate repairs, answer phone related service calls, as well as onsite service calls and mentor technicians while performing repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment. Your experience will help maintain safety, efficiency, and reliability across our operations . This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a passion for heavy equipment repair and leadership. Responsibilities Supervise daily shop activities, ensuring timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks on heavy equipment. Ability to diagnose gas and diesel engines, troubleshoot electrical issues and problem solving. Perform fabrication, welding, soldering, assembly, and equipment modifications to meet operational needs. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports while ensuring compliance. Mentor and train team members on proper use of heavy equipment, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety procedures. Requirements Great attitude, self motivated and eager to learn! Well organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to function in a fast paced environment. Proven mechanical experience with heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, aerial lifts, trailers, or similar heavy equipment.
