  • Full-time Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles.
In this energetic role, you will diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting everything from farm machinery to construction equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using OEM schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, alignment checks, and preventive inspections on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication skills to meet OEM standards. Repair and maintain vehicle fleets including tractor-trailers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications. Utilize electrical experience to troubleshoot wiring issues in heavy equipment or automotive systems; interpret schematics for complex repairs. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance needs. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair in dealership or industrial settings. Hands-on fabrication experience with welding, soldering, assembly, and heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with excavator, tractor-trailer maintenance or repair is highly preferred. Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment Experience working with industrial equipment is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical troubleshooting skills; proficiency in automotive diagnostics is a plus. Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently; experience with tire service and wheel alignment tasks is beneficial.
