Brighton, Michigan Shift/Schedule:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 7am-3:30pm
Pay Rate:
$22.00-$25.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary:
We're hiring Entry-Level Diesel Engine Mechanics/ Mechanical Technicians to join our growing team. Positions offer hands-on mechanical work with structured training and mentorship. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with tools, and have a strong work ethic, this is an excellent opportunity to launch a career in industrial diesel systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Disassemble (tear down) diesel engines and qualify components through precision measurement under guidance. Operate part washing machines, sandblasting stations, and cleaning equipment.
Assist in machining operations:
boring cylinder sleeves, grinding valves, and cutting piston rings using manual equipment (training provided). Learn MIG welding using portable welders, torch, and plasma cutting techniques. Support, rebuild, and reassemble alongside experienced machinists. Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety procedures at all times. Cross-train in multiple shop areas to develop a broad mechanical skill set. Qualifications & Skill Set Strong mechanical aptitude required. Background in automotive, diesel, or small engine repair preferred (shop or dealership experience ideal). Ability to read and use precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers. Familiarity with MIG welding or sheet metal fabrication is a plus. Eager to learn, dependable, and motivated to grow within the company. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
