Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, commercial vehicles, and industrial machinery. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines across various equipment such as tractors, excavators, cranes, and heavy trucks using OEM specifications and schematics Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, air brake systems, suspension adjustments, and wheel alignments Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to ensure proper fit and function Conduct electrical diagnostics on vehicle systems and troubleshoot issues related to hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts or excavators to facilitate repairs or move equipment safely within the shop or job site Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines Assist with tire service, heavy lifting tasks, assembly of parts or equipment components, and general equipment repair to ensure operational readiness Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with heavy equipment and automotive repair Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and OEM parts Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues in industrial equipment or farm machinery Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools necessary for fabrication and repair tasks Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts safely and efficiently on job sites or within shop environments Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members Physical capability for heavy lifting tasks combined with attention to safety protocols during all repair activities This role is perfect for motivated technicians eager to apply their expertise in a vibrant environment that values quality workmanship.
