  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment, (primarily trucks and trailers) ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our customers fleets functioning flawlessly. Responsibilities Perform thorough diagnostics using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components. Conduct repairs and maintenance on semi trucks, engines, trailers, haulers, mid duty trucks, transmissions, brakes,electrical, etc. ensuring compliance with safety standards. Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to support equipment repair or customization projects. Replace or repair brakes, air brake systems, tires, alignments, HVAC systems, and perform heavy lifting tasks safely with appropriate equipment. Maintain detailed service records documenting repairs performed, parts replaced, and diagnostics conducted for each piece of equipment. Requirements Proven mechanic experience working on heavy equipment with a strong focus on diesel engine repair. Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, suspension, transmission, and drive line issues in semi trucks Solid understanding of schematics, hydraulic systems, transmissions, electrical wiring, HVAC systems, and suspension components. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance devices. Knowledge of automotive repair techniques including tire service, brake repair, alignment adjustments, and vehicle maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods. Customer service orientation with effective communication skills to interact professionally with team members and clients. Owning your own tools is a requirement Reliable transportation is a must! Positive attitude is a non negotiable, as is a willingness to work hard and enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done with an awesome team!
