Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Commercial Trucks Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining large commercial trucks and diesel engines to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently, supporting the transportation needs of our clients. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and electrical components using advanced automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair and replace mechanical parts including brakes, shocks & struts, drive shafts, and suspension components while ensuring proper assembly and calibration. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and plumbing skills to complete repairs efficiently. Diagnose electrical issues within automotive electrical systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements to maintain vehicle reliability. Assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks related to heavy-duty trucks to minimize downtime. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing vehicle maintenance. Requirements Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician experience working on heavy-duty diesel trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, HVAC units, suspension systems, and automotive electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and troubleshooting procedures. Ability to perform oil changes, tire services, alignments, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and other routine maintenance tasks. Skilled in welding, soldering, equipment repair, plumbing as needed for specialized truck repairs. Familiarity with auto body repair processes is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Capable of heavy lifting safely and working in physically demanding environments. $27.33 - $32.91 per hour
