Diesel Mechanic

J & H Transportation is a family-owned and operated business located in Sterling Heights, MI. We are currently seeking a full-time morning mechanic to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who is willing to grow with our company. This position is responsible for the light-duty repair of diesel engines , with such tasks such as R&I of transmissions, assisting in the maintenance of the equipment. The Mechanic will also be responsible for the repair of gravel trailers. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel equipment
• Repair or replace faulty parts and components, on gravel trailers

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication

Pay:

$25.00
