Heavy Duty Diesel / Trailer mechanic

Pronto Freight Ways has an immediate opening for an experienced diesel mechanic. Almost unlimited overtime potential. Mack Anthem day cabs, Mack MD 742 box trucks and Hino box trucks. The ideal candidate will have proven trailer and truck repair skills. Salary will be determined based on skill set and experience. Must be able to pass a hiring drug test and TSA background check. Full benefits offered with 401k matched up to 4%. Our fleet is local and we are willing to work with you on your start time.

Position Details:

Full Time Compensation:

$28 - $37 per hour Weekly pay Medical, Dental/Vision benefits and 401K options Paid vacation and holidays

Responsibilities:

Ensure efficient and quality shop operations Ability to write repair orders and turn them in daily. Ability to maintain a clean work area and clean up after each shift. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle component problems Ensure all repairs are done accurately and completely without cutting any corners. Ability to operate software for diagnosing equipment issues. Ensure all maintenance assignments are completed in accordance with FMCSA, OSHA and other safety standards Ensures all service equipment is in good working condition and well maintained

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal skills Ability to operate basic office equipment Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects Ability to bend, twist, sit, walk and move for extended periods of time Ability to perform other physical requirements as necessary Basic arithmetic skills Must be able to perform work outside when needed. Must be able to follow direction Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA and other regulations Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre employment drug screen.
