The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working on tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues effectively and provide high-quality repairs while ensuring driver satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including inspections and diagnostics. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues. Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components. Work with Peterbilt engines and other major brands to ensure optimal performance. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Communicate effectively with drivers regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work orders while maintaining high-quality standards. Skills Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment specific to diesel mechanics. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in diesel repair and maintenance. Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems, including brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems.
