Warren, Michigan, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Diesel Mechanic for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan. Overview The senior diesel mechanic will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. They will mentor and oversee team members to ensure standards are met. Responsibilities Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections
Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components
Read, interpret, and follow service procedures
Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and assist as a subject matter expert
Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders
Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, conducting preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
Lead daily shop organization and clean-up Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a diesel mechanic Preferred Qualifications Certificate in diesel technology or related field
State diesel mechanic certification(s)
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines, and balancers We thank all applicants for their interest.
