Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery and develop your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, and brake repairs to keep equipment in optimal condition. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using power tools, welding, soldering, and other fabrication techniques as needed. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers to perform service or repair tasks safely. Inspect farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy-duty vehicles to identify wear or damage and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Requirements Proven experience as a diesel technician or mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and suspension components. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic tools. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting devices safely. Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service, brake repair, alignment, and HVAC system servicing. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service and safety compliance. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy parts or equipment as required.
