Diesel Mechanic

Clearwater Truck Center is a full service shop looking to add to our team of Diesel Mechanics. Entry level mechanics invited to apply! Schedule availability, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 am & 5:30 pm. 8 hour shifts. We currently have openings for Diesel Mechanics capable of servicing heavy duty vehicles. DOT certified a plus. Job duties include, but are not limited to the following: Consult with customers when needed as directed, thoroughly read work orders, and determine the work required before making repairs Maintain proper service records on work completed Utilize laptops and hand-held computer units to conduct electrical, fuel, and other diagnostics To the best of your ability examine, test computer drives, troubleshoot mechanical problems using industry standard test procedures and computer diagnostic equipment Perform inspections on vehicles using Clearwater Truck Center and DOT guidelines to ensure that the vehicle is operating safely Account for all time on a time sheet and for all material/parts used in performing assigned duties May perform diagnosis and repair in the field Must furnish basic tools and Clearwater Truck Center will provide specialty tools to perform functions of the position Repair and perform routine maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment; actual job assignments based on abilities Full time employee benefits include: health, dental, retirement, life, accidental, paid vacation, service commission, and uniform service.
