Diesel Technician II

  • June 20, 2026 Job Duties Diesel Technician II performs inspections, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls engines.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems. Being a Diesel Technician II utilizes computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes. Replaces and/or refurbishes parts. Additionally, Diesel Technician II maintains maintenance logs according to requirements. All duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance and availability to work outside standard business hours as needed:
  • Ensures services provided follow all quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Perform DOT annual inspections on vehicles.
  • Work under moderate supervision within established procedures specific to the job function
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
  • Perform moderate-level welding and fabrication, diagnose electrical systems, diesel engines & transmissions, as well as troubleshoot and maintain air brake and hydraulic systems
  • Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Minimum Education Required High School Diploma Minimum Experience Required
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL)
  • Class A preferred
  • Automotive & Diesel Technology certificate from a college or technical school or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
