In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet and machinery operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse industrial equipment, including farm machinery, construction vehicles, and transportation trucks, in a fast-paced environment that values technical excellence and proactive problem-solving. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using power tools, welding techniques, soldering, and hand tools to meet operational requirements. Service and repair vehicle systems including air brakes, alignment, HVAC systems, tire service, and powertrain components. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts replacement to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or industrial equipment background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Proficiency in reading schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex issues efficiently. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is essential. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other farm or industrial equipment safely. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and automotive repair tools. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy parts or equipment regularly throughout shifts. Valid certifications in diesel engine repair, brake repair (air brake), suspension alignment, hydraulics or HVAC systems are highly desirable.
