Job Description:
We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and machinery powered by diesel engines, including semi-trucks, dump trucks, and heavy-duty construction equipment. The position combines traditional hands-on mechanical work with the use of advanced computerized diagnostic software to identify and resolve complex system issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Proficiency:
Deep knowledge of diesel engine components, electrical circuits, and hydraulic systems.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50-100 lbs regularly and work in physically demanding or uncomfortable positions (e.g., bending, stooping, or crawling).
Problem-Solving:
Analyzing diagnostic results to determine the most cost-effective and long-lasting solutions.
Required Qualifications Experience:
Proven expertise in diesel engine components, heavy equipment repair, and hydraulic systems.
Licensing:
Must possess a valid CDL Class B driver's license with an air brake endorsement.
Diagnostic Skills:
Advanced troubleshooting ability to resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Reliability:
A dedicated professional who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and shop safety.
Welding & Fabrication :
Perform welding repairs and fabricate parts or components as needed to maintain equipment.
