Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of machinery used across various industries, including construction, transportation, and agriculture. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure peak operational efficiency. Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and assembly techniques to meet specific job requirements. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs on industrial equipment and automotive systems. Replace or repair brake systems, alignments, tires, powertrain components, HVAC systems, and perform heavy lifting tasks safely. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; interpret schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests while adhering to safety standards and quality procedures. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair in dealership or industrial settings. Hands-on fabrication experience with welding, soldering, and assembly of mechanical parts. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Strong knowledge of OEM parts catalogs and schematics for troubleshooting complex systems. Experience working with farm machinery or industrial equipment is highly desirable. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and electrical system troubleshooting.
