Job description:

School Bus Fleet Diesel Technician Keep the Wheels on the Bus Rolling at Northstar Bus Lines, and American Student Transportation. We are looking for automotive technicians able to work on gas and diesel vehicles. We are looking for skilled school bus technicians to work on both diesel and gas vehicles at our Blaine terminal. Both AM and PM shifts are available, with great pay, benefits, and a sign-on bonus available of up to $15,000.

• Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Lift 50 lbs or more as needed.
• Demonstrate self-starter abilities and reliable work ethic.
• Train and mentor other technicians

• Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair.
• Minimum 5 years of school bus experience.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical knowledge.
• Proficiency with Navistar, Cummins Insite, and Wabco diagnostic software.
• Experience with gas, diesel, or alternative fuel vehicles.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to obtain a Class B with Air brake CDL (in-house training provided).
• Guaranteed no route driving
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Blaine, or willingness to relocate before starting.
• Ability to work in all weather elements.
• ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
• Ability to obtain a DOT MIP certificate
• Positive attitude
• Must have tools

• Schedule:

• Full-time position (minimum 8-hour shifts).
• Monday to Friday, with weekends on an as-needed basis.
