Automotive & Diesel Technician (Shop + Mobile Service)Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Automotive & Diesel Technician to join our growing service team. This role involves working on a wide range of gasoline and diesel vehicles, light
  • and medium-duty trucks, fleet vehicles, and equipment , both in-shop and through scheduled mobile on-site repairs for local customers and fleets.
The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, hands-on repair experience, and takes pride in doing quality work the right way. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and working for a well-equipped, locally trusted shop, this is a great opportunity. Key Responsibilities Diagnose vehicle and equipment issues using modern diagnostic tools and test equipment Perform maintenance and repairs on gasoline and diesel engines Service and repair: Brake systems Steering & suspension Shocks & struts HVAC systems Driveline & drivetrain components Perform inspections, alignments, tire services, and safety checks Complete mobile / on-site repairs as scheduled (company vehicle and tools provided) Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics and service information Perform light fabrication or repairs using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment (as needed) Work on farm, fleet, or light industrial equipment when required Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs clearly with customers and service advisors Follow all shop safety procedures, DOT requirements, and air brake standards where applicable Qualifications & Experience Automotive or diesel technician experience (dealership, independent shop, fleet, or combination) Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills Experience with gasoline and diesel engines Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical systems Ability to read and understand schematics and service manuals Welding or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required Experience with farm, fleet, or industrial equipment is a plus Ability to safely lift heavy components and work in a fast-paced shop environment Valid driver's license (clean driving record preferred for mobile service work) What We're Looking For Dependable and self-motivated Takes pride in workmanship and accuracy Strong problem-solver Good communication skills with customers and team members Comfortable working both in-shop and on the road for mobile service calls Why Work With Us Variety of work
