Job Description

Job Title:
Diesel Service Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Diesel Service Mechanic to handle repairs on a variety of construction equipment. This role involves both shop-based and on-site repair work, ensuring all machinery is in optimal condition. Responsibilities Perform preventative and fleet maintenance on rough terrain forklifts and telehandlers. Conduct service checks and repairs on diesel construction equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, pin/cylinders, wheel replacements, and oil changes. Handle occasional trailer and truck repairs, including brake lights, dolly leg issues, and air compressor fixes. Utilize personal tools for shop work; forklift-specific tools will be provided. Align work with local residential and commercial building sites. Essential Skills Experience with diesel engines in construction equipment or trucks. Proficiency in hydraulic troubleshooting. Ability in electrical troubleshooting and wiring. Competency in reading blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of heavy equipment, pneumatics, and diesel engines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with various fabrication tools such as plasma cutters and drills. Experience in custom truck, trailer, or construction experience.
