Position Overview Lano Equipment is looking for a skilled Diesel Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy machinery. This role focuses on working with premier brands like Bobcat, Kubota, and Toro. You will act as a technical expert both in our repair shop and out in the field. Your main goal is to diagnose complex engine, hydraulic, and electrical problems to get our customers' equipment back to work quickly.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Diagnostics & Repair Machine Maintenance:
Diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on construction equipment and tractors.
Systems Troubleshooting:
Find and fix failures in diesel engines, electrical wiring, and high-pressure hydraulic systems.
Documentation & Customer Service Service Records:
Write accurate repair logs that track your labor hours, the parts you used, and the work completed.
Communication:
Talk professionally with customers to explain what is wrong with their machine and how you plan to fix it.
Requirements & Skills Experience & Technical Knowledge Work History:
At least 3 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic on heavy equipment, construction, or farm machinery.
System Mastery:
A strong understanding of how diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics work.
Problem Solving:
Excellent troubleshooting skills to figure out complex mechanical failures on the job site.
Preferred Qualifications Brand Experience:
Past experience repairing Bobcat, Kubota, or Toro equipment.
Education:
A technical degree or official certifications in diesel technology, hydraulics, or electrical systems.
