Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic/General Auto/Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including automotive, industrial, and construction equipment, utilizing your mechanical expertise to deliver exceptional service. We are willing to train and educate the right candidate, pay based on experience and abilities. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automotive and heavy equipment including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to ensure vehicle longevity and safety. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to meet repair specifications. Inspect vehicles and equipment for wear or damage; perform necessary repairs or replacements on shocks & struts, HVAC systems, electrical components, and construction machinery. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; communicate effectively with staff about repair needs and timelines. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Willing to train the right candidate. Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; ability to use hand tools and power tools proficiently. Some experience preferred working with heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and construction machinery. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic diagrams; ability to interpret technical manuals accurately. Strong mechanical knowledge encompassing transmissions, air brake systems, alignment procedures, suspension components, HVAC systems, hydraulics, shocks & struts. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically capable of handling demanding tasks in various environments.
