Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines, industrial machinery, farm equipment, and commercial vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting industries such as construction, agriculture, transportation, and industrial services. We value proactive problem-solving and hands-on skills that drive efficiency and reliability across our fleet and machinery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension, HVAC systems, and electrical components using schematics and service manuals. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and general vehicle inspections. Repair and fabricate parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet precise specifications. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on farm machinery, industrial equipment, automotive systems, and heavy-duty vehicles to restore optimal functioning. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify faults accurately; interpret schematics for electrical or mechanical repairs. Maintain detailed service records including repair logs, maintenance schedules, and incident reports to ensure compliance with safety standards. Skills Proven experience working in a dealership environment or with heavy equipment repair services. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspensions, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; adept with hand tools and power tools for assembly and repair tasks. Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting electrical systems or complex machinery layouts. Experience operating heavy equipment like excavators, cranes, forklifts; familiarity with farm machinery and industrial equipment is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical capability for heavy lifting; comfortable working in various environments requiring manual dexterity and safety awareness.
