Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, as well as farm machinery and other equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanics, with a focus on diesel engines and heavy machinery. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues.Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines and farm machinery
- Conduct hydraulic system checks and perform repairs as needed
- Use mechanical knowledge to repair and maintain equipment
- Utilize automotive diagnostic tools to identify and repair mechanical issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards
Requirements:
- A strong background in mechanics, with a focus on diesel engines and heavy machinery
- Experience working with farm machinery and other heavy equipment
- Experience with hydraulics and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
- Familiarity with soldering and welding
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with forklifts and cranes is a plus
