In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical innovation to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will work on everything from farm machinery and industrial equipment to construction vehicles like excavators, cranes, and forklifts, utilizing your technical skills to keep our operations moving forward. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, king pin replacement, air brakes, and HVAC systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and vehicle inspections. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools and welding techniques to ensure proper fit and function of equipment. Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and complex mechanical issues accurately. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery safely and efficiently during repairs or testing procedures. Assist in assembly or disassembly of equipment components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced; ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems and protocols. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with power tools is essential. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and agricultural machinery is advantageous. Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems troubleshooting, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, brakes—including air brake systems—and alignment procedures. Ability to perform tire service and heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs. Assist in other departments as needed Maintain a clean and organized area Daily cleaning tasks Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
