TITLE:
Bus Maintenance Technician
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Two years maintenance experience. 2. Knowledge of or experience with transportation issues, including school and state laws. 3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable. 4. High School Diploma or Equivalent. 5. Certified Bus Mechanic. 6. CDL including P & S endorsements.
REPORTS TO
Transportation Director
JOB GOAL
The goal of bus service coordinator is to assure students a safe ride to and from school and to and from all school sponsored activities. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining buses in good condition and performing required repairs.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Check to assure proper maintenance of district busses. 2. Assist transportation director when assigned. 3. Maintain all busses, keep them mechanically operational. 4. Monitor bus activity with the transportation director. 5. Complete all forms as required by the Department of Education. 6. Assure proper maintenance and safety of buses used by district; Pass bus inspections. 7. Conduct random inspections of buses. 8. Follow all requirements set forth by DESE and District Board Policies. 9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Education or administration.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Twelve month employment.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of District Board Policy.
