Diesel Service Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered semi trucks, and trailers. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our customers trucks and trailers. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, and other heavy duty components. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform soldering or wiring repairs to resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Follow safety protocols during all repair activities. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance. Qualifications Proven experience working as a dealership service technician or in a similar automotive or heavy equipment repair environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, brakes (including air brake systems), and suspension components. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for precise diagnostics and repairs. Hands-on experience with is highly preferred. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and fabrication processes. Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle maintenance and repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to explain repairs effectively.
