Diesel Service Technician 9562 Highway 15, Mexico, MO 65265 From $30 an hour - Full-time From $30 an hour - Full-time Diesel Service Technician Meyers Truck Service is looking for a Diesel Service Technician that is a dependable team player with prior technician experience. Proficient knowledge of diesel engines is a requirement for this position. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Electronic engine diagnostics and repairs Diesel engine repair Vehicle inspections Diagnostics and Repair or replace parts, including brakes, driveline, front end, electrical, lighting, etc. ABS diagnostics and repairs HVAC diagnostics and repairs Air brake diagnostics and repairs Wheel end repairs and adjustments Suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; adjusting and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

Detail Dexterity Mechanical and Technical Know-How:
Diesel mechanics must break down an engine to its components and build it back up correctly. They will also have to use complex computers and diagnostics to analyze on-board computers and other systems. You should be able to use and understand an array of tools and technical equipment.

Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, sit, stoop, or bend for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to lift in excess of 80 lbs
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required CDL preferred Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of medium and heavy-duty equipment Need to have own set of tools.
