Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various types of equipment and vehicle maintenance. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing and repairing commercial automotive and equipment systems, as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Mechanic will work on a variety of machinery, including heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive vehicles. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment, including excavators, and tractors. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, and alignment checks. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects while adhering to safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle or equipment needs. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and repair, including but not limited to Caterpillar machinery and industrial equipment. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and transmissions. Experience with fabrication techniques and the ability to read schematics for complex systems. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform automotive diagnostics accurately. Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction and teamwork. Ability to lift heavy objects as required for various repair tasks.
