Job Description

A nationwide environmental services operation is hiring a Diesel Technician in Asheville, NC to repair and maintain fleet trucks and trailers. Ideal candidates have strong diesel diagnostics and preventative maintenance experience. to join a dependable team supporting essential community services. Duties & Responsibilities Perform minor and major repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles according to factory and industry standards Complete preventative maintenance services, including inspections, tire rotations, oil changes, and general upkeep Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and collaborate with the repair team to plan and execute repairs Inspect fleet vehicles to ensure DOT compliance, including brake systems and safety checks Maintain accurate repair, maintenance, and daily reporting records Monitor parts, equipment, and supply inventory levels Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with company, DOT, and OSHA safety regulations
Requirements Required:
3+ years of heavy-duty fleet maintenance experience Familiarity with air brake systems, hydraulics, engines, suspension, preventative maintenance, HVAC electrical, and CNG systems Ability to read and understand technical manuals and repair documentation Experience with Microsoft applications and diagnostic software Strong attention to detail Reliable, professional, and dependable work ethic
Preferred:
Welding and body fabrication experience #FJ1
Compensation:
$28.00•$31.00/hour starting pay based on experience and qualifications. $200 quarterly tool allowance.
