Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. You will work with advanced diagnostic tools, fabrication techniques, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts to deliver top-tier service. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, air brake adjustments, alignments, and HVAC system checks to keep equipment running smoothly. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing phases while adhering to all safety protocols and industry standards. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced or repaired. Assist with assembly or disassembly of components during repairs or upgrades to ensure optimal performance. Skills Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine repair, transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), hydraulics, suspension systems, and alignment procedures. Skilled in automotive diagnostics using OEM tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Proficient in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiar with power tools and hand tools for various repair tasks. Experience working on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery. Knowledge of electrical systems related to industrial equipment and automotive applications. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment requiring heavy equipment operation when necessary.
