Diesel Technician Pay based on knowledge and experience Monday -
Friday:
Typically 6am - 6pm Overtime after 40 hrs Paid OEM training as available Competitive Pay + Overtime 40 Hours Assured Time Weekly Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off + Holidays Job Responsibilities Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet. Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions and clutches, drive-line, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems (including aftertreatment systems), electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems. Follow procedures including documenting all work performed on work orders. Proficient in electrical meter testing. Welding and fabrication projects as needed. Professional Skills Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM's and component manufacturers. Must provide own tools necessary to perform all maintenance repair and diagnostics. Strong to moderate knowledge and skill of all vehicle systems and components. Strong to moderate knowledge and skill in Preventive Maintenance Inspections and repairs. Basic knowledge and skill in welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG, Aluminum). Basic computer skills and knowledge. Moderate knowledge of all DOT (FMCSA) regulations.
Job Requirements:
Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training, preferred. Minimum of 1 Year class 8 truck repair experience required. Current and valid driver's license.
Wage Range:
20.00 - 38.00 per hour
